Here are 10 other ways to nurture your soul without having to buy glorified powder... not cocaine, I'm still taking about bath bombs...  1. Stayyyyyycation!   You heard me! You don't need to get out of dodge to have a self-care day. I mean a fancy ass bougie spa would be nice but you can also find a cute Airbnb in your backyard and leave your worries behind! Staycations are a great way to feel like you are on vacation without the hassle of traveling too far, which means more money for booze! LOL well maybe not but you can save on travel costs and spend that extra $ on something snazzy like a charcuterie  board because what screams vacation errr staycation more that a charcuterie board.  2. Book a Trip! Well if you really aren't into the staycation idea then booking a nice little getaway might be just what the self-care doctor o

Benbow - Benbow Historic Inn in the town of Benbow is a MUST when looking for a weekend getaway. The Inn is not only totally adorable, but it gives you a feeling of royalty while staying there! The Inn hosts different style rooms that are named in honor of the first family that lived there! Supa cute! Also, if you're in the mood for a night cap (booze yay!) and a soak, most rooms come stocked with yummy liquor and soaking tubs - hell ya. Hint: Check-in on time to catch Tea Time where you're greeted with fresh tea and homemade scones! Did I mention the restaurant is out of this world?  2. Tahoe - Uh-duh! If you haven't been to Tahoe, you're in for a

10 Ideas for Girls Weekend!

1. Blind wine tasting - Say what?? Grab a bottle of your fave wine and get a group of lovely ladies together - how this works is you bring a bottle of wine to wow your friends and place it in a brown  paper bag, every lady does this. You then make 'wine cards' that have categories: i.e. wine price, type of wine, location of wine, scoring of taste, and any other fun thing you want to judge. You'll need to number the paper bags so you know what wine you've tried and what ones you haven't - once the wine is bagged, numbered, and open you can grab a glass and get judging! If you're hosting, make sure to have cute lil prizes for the winning wines! Oh, and some snacks like a kickass cheese board, who doesn't love an excuse to eat delicious snacks? 2. Dance class - Twerk it out! No joke, you can take a twerking class or any dance class! How fun is dancing with your girls? It's the best! What makes it better is by taking a class and learning how to dance you

10 Rainy Day Activities

1. Read! - I'm a teacher ya'll! You best believe I will sneak reading into any blog post I can ;) Rainy days are made for curling up with a book and getting sucked into a parallel universe! As adults you aren't required to read unless you're in school and even then do you really actually read? So why not use a rainy day as an excuse to read a book you've been wanting to or to reread one you love! You'd be surprised how many new books have come out that are amazing and adult friendly - No, I'm not talking about Fifty Shades of Grey... but hey, if you haven't read it, give it a go the next rainy day! 2. Build a fort - Forts are supa fun and hella easy to build as an adult, which is delightfully surprising. Grab all of the blankets you own, your roommates blankets, your parents blankets, whoever the fuck you live with blankets, and get to work. Blast some music and get your creative juices flowing and make your fort dreams come true! Add some candle

10 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS YOU CAN ACTUALLY DO ALL YEAR & KEEP!

1. Eating healthier - Instead of making crazy dietary restrictions or limitations, make the resolution of eating healthier. When you put yourself on a "diet" you are more likely to cheat or indulge in foods that will make you feel guilty and make you feel bad about yourself - Instead make the resolution of eating healthier and being more conscious about the foods you are choosing to eat. When you have the choice and are cognoscente about eating healthier foods, it wont seem like the end of the world if you consume a chocolate bar on a really shitty day and that wont make you want to wolf down your entire fridge, "because I already ate a chocolate bar and broke my diet I can eat these 400 cheese puffs" 2. Being more active - Again with the limitations - I used to be really hard on myself about my New Year resolutions involving some sort of weight loss goal, yuck! All I have to say is fuck that shit. If you want your New Years resolutions to involve a goal about we

10 things to be thankful for this fall

1. Community - Be thankful for your community. Having lived in a small town and a city where wild fires destroyed homes, structures, lives, and left people's lives changed forever, community is something to be thankful for this fall. I witnessed so many strangers come together to grieve, gather, and give to the people impacted by the fires - whether it be donating food, supplies, time, or a place to stay, it was/ is incredible to see people rise up to support one another in a time of such need. In general, communities are very powerful and will be there for you whenever needed, not only during fires - many thanks. 2. Support - Be thankful for support - Support can mean a multitude of things - from someone supporting your ideas, dreams, decisions, to supporting you physically, financially, emotionally, spiritually, or just flat out being your cheerleader. It's important to have support and its equally as important to be supportive. Support is something to be thankful for th

10 Reasons to live in the now

Your past will always be there - you can live in the past if your heart desires to do so but that shit ain’t healthy. Of course your past is your past and you can refer back to it at any given point so there isn’t really a reason to dwell there. (Unless you are remembering a fond time or memory, then ya, bask in that ish for awhile)   Your future is not guaranteed - unfortunately, you will not live forever (super sad face) therefore living in the now is hecka important! You need to enjoy or at least try to enjoy what you have now and slow your roll. Who isn’t guilty of thinking of the future and really honing in on it?? Everyone is. That’s okay but if you also only see yourself as a billionaire who lives the lush life & your reality is you drive a janky ass gold Camry & have $5.00 to your name, find the silver lining in your life as it is now & be okay with that - I’m not saying to not shoot for the stars but you need to always recognize your now & know that you migh
